I'm BACK! So sorry been silent on your blog for ages. The laptop was sick (a-GAIN) and the whole things had to be replaced and so lost all my blog links. So, slowly going through and adding them back to my bookmarks. I think I've caught up on all your posts. Garden = great! MashaAllah! And I want to come and play in that cubby. And drink tea with you on your deck.

Anyway, re: hijab - yes, the cap thing is absolutely key. My hair is really, rally straight and if I don't wear a cap, it just slides right off my head. I have friends with really curly hair, and they don't need one as it just stays there, but I must have a cap of some sort. On really hot days, I'll wear a smaller one, that doesn't totally encapsulate my whole head, even a fabric headband. Then I pin the scarf to my cap. It's the only way for me. I know for a fact if I don't wear a cappy-thing, my hijab will probably have slipped off before I even leave the front door.
