Advice on child rearing/veterinary stuff/words of wisdom. Not only is my life an open book but apparently I am a know it all.

One of the first things we changed in our home was the front yard. Everyone kept on telling us that we should worry about the garden last and just do up the inside but I’ve always wanted to pull into my driveway and feel happy and excited to be home.

I mean, just LOOK at it. Horribly shaped plants obscuring the door and that god-awful shaped side garden of NOTHING. The patchy lawn could have easily been fixed had we not had water restrictions so I wasn’t that worried about that. Not to say that I am not grateful for our home mashaAllah may Allah keep everyone safe and provide safe housing for everyone.

The first step (and I wish wish wish I had taken pics during the whole thing because we had to do it in stages) was to take out the concrete edging and replace it with something a bit more appealing, then remove those awful plants (they needed regular trimming and we possessed none of the appropriate tools and none of the appropriate skills and certainly none of the appropriate INCLINATION to do that) and plant some low maintenance but still aesthetically appealing flora and then add some mulch so we need not ever fertilise or weed EVER AGAIN.
