First fast on Monday for most of us Australians (though a few had started on Saturday if I am not mistaken – taking Saudi’s moonsighting I suspect). I pray everyone’s Ramadan goes well and that Allah accepts all our good deeds. I hope those who are using this month to lose weight, lose it and NOT PUT IT BACK ON TWO WEEKS AFTER EID!
I’ve been preoccupied with all things dunya(yi?) (We’ve bought a house – the house we’ve been renting for 5 years- don’t fret people, it’s a Shariah compliant home loan!) and haven’t prepared myself physically or spiritually for Ramadan. All I’ve done in the way of physical preparation has been preempting my first-of-Ramadan headache and taking a couple of panadol (tylenol) at sehri time. Spiritually I’ve done naught.
But it’s no problemo! It’s never too late. I’m not going to go on a complete “blog fast” like sister UmIbrahim – I do find blogging relaxing and while I probably won’t be posting all that often I don’t want to give up blogging completely this month.
I guess my goals this month are pretty much the same as everyone else’s so no need for me to go on. Just make dua we all get to fulfill our goals and that Allah The Merciful accepts our ibadah.

Salam Alaykum Tasmiya
Ramadan Mubarak! And i also want to thank you so much for all the kind things you’ve said to me in my comments (on both my blogs). It really means a lot to me, coming from a lovely person like you. I hope this Ramadan is full of blessing for you & your family. And i hope you don’t get too tired with all the busy dunyayi
stuff you have going on. I get tired and crabby even just making roti for suhoor.. sigh..! Take care!
Ramadan Mubarak and congrats on the house. hope your computer gets fixed soon (that’s funny it broke in ramadan…perhaps a message there LOL).
