I don’t know what to say here but go and watch the video. It’s really confronting and just a little bit disturbing. Don’t say I didn’t warn you:
I am hearing a lot of “but he didn’t leave the library for TWENTY minutes and was mouthing off at police.” SO WHAT? This is police brutality at its finest.
I hope these policemen get sacked.
UPDATE: Interview with Mostafa Tabatabainejad’s lawyer.

I hope there is an investigation, they get suspended pending the outcome, and they have to sit through racial sensitivity and profiling classes.
Ya Haqq!
I hope that this student learns how not to resist arrest and how not to get tazed 5 times. You have pick your battles intelligently.
We don’t see what happened before the first tas(er?)ing but even if the policemen were justified in doing it the first time, there was no reason to keep going. FIVE times is excessive and in my opinion, torture. From the little I know about tasers, one can remain incapacitated for a few minutes after being zapped so it’s not a stretch to think he might have been trying to get out of the library but just couldn’t move.
Five times is excessive. I just have little tolerance for people that resist those in authority, get mouthy about it, and then cry about being treated badly. A lot of people like to dis the police but when something happens to them, they are the first ones on the phone calling the police to come help them.
