Ideas on what to cook tonight?
Please bear in mind the following:
1. I am lazy.
2. I have 2 children who are at my side constantly. When they are not at my side, they are pouring shampoo all over the bath or spilling milk on the carpet or spreading baby powder over themselves and anything within eyesight or fighting over toys or annoying the cat and then getting scratched or..well..you get the picture.
Any help is mucho appreciatendato (<— Yes, I’m multi-lingual.)

The easiest thing to make is…a phone call to order food from the local restaurant

Ya Haqq!
red rooster! it’s halal in vic (well, the chicken is…the bacon they use for their burgers is not). so is nandos. for the sake of the good Lord, do yourself a favour and take the night off cooking! you can get teh potatos and salds and stuff so it seems ‘healthy’ and ‘balanced’.
either that, or tell everyone it’s “reverse day” and serve cereal and toast for dinner. ha! Of course, if you’ve been fasting, this might not be too great.
I think it has to be take aways.
or…call your mum and beg for an iftar invite
EGGGGGGGGGGGGGGS!
When I’m lazy I fry some peas + carrots + corn (from the freezer) in a bit of oil and add some canned chickpeas, salt + pepper + garlic. Then I boil up some egg noodles or whatever pasta is around and mix it with the veggies and make a sort of pasta stir fry. Lazy! But it always turns out well.
I’m always lazy. I usually fry wings and stuff in the deep fryer for my sons while Dd’s favourite thing to do is to toast bread and melt some cheese on it in the microwave. If I’m extra lazy , I drizzle some olive oil and seasonings on a bird and pop it in the oven for 1 hour. It is a family favourite too.
Thank you all for advice. We did not end up going the takeaway route because the “Take-out” envelope in our very crude budget was empty for this fortnight. Ihavenoideahowthathappeneddoyoulikemynewshirt.
Instead I made pizza. Lebanese bread as base and whatever I had in the fridge as topping.
yay, pizza arabia!
i was going to suggest sandwiches – easye peasy. i usually have chicken spread at home so pickles and salad and you’re all set!
Boil eggs
Forgot to say I just fed everyone boiled eggs!
That new shirt looks beautiful on you
1) Cook some Pasta.
2) Chop some chicken breast into small cubes
3) Add cubes to pan, brown.
4) Add 2 cans of roma tomato’s
5) Add basil… oregano… whatever.
6) Leave for 20mins.
Serve…. Easy. Yummy. Healthy. Kids will get the tomato everywhere though. The hardest thing about this is cutting the chicken. I made this recipe (if you can even call it that) one day when i was lazy.
