Ok….I don’t think of our Sunday Mail as a “news” paper but this article here caught my attention:
Busy parents urge kindies to open up
Mums and dads forced to work on Christmas Day are among those seeking care – but many parents simply want to have a “good time” without the children…….
One child-care worker on the Gold Coast said she had been begged by a mother to open on December 25 because the professional couple “couldn’t be bothered” entertaining their two-year-old daughter. “They are not working, they just can’t handle a whole day with their kids,” she said.
Call me naive but I really don’t see any parent saying anything like this. Yeah, I can imagine parents thinking that Christmas might be a little less hectic if the kids are in daycare but to actually prefer and then have the nerve to ask for that?
Shenanigans!
