So, continuing on from my whinge fest

WHAT IS UP WITH ALL THIS RAIN?  I have never been so tired of seeing wet grass and grey skies.

Plus all the clothes are stinky because they are just not drying.

Now that I have that out of my system, let me tell you some good stuff. I had a great weekend. My Friday was awful. One of the worst ones of my parenting life and Saturday came and made everything right. It could have something to do with the fact that I was actually at work and did not have to deal with the children. Not complaining about them, mind you. Just that it’s so hard some days. Some days I am drowning in a sea of unhappiness and the children’s demands on top of that just add to it. Ok ok. I was meant to talk about the good stuff.

Work was fantastic! I finished only an hour after rostered time, there were mainly vaccinations and not much thinking involved.

Came  home to a happy children and not too stressed  husband. Supper was cooked while I enjoyed a hot shower. Ate quickly then tidied up like mad as sister-in-law came to visit (how is her house always so clean and mine such a pigsty??).  Goop was made and I shall have photos for you very soon. The upside of making goop is that although it makes a hella mess, it’s just so easy to clean up.

Sunday was soccer and thank goodness the rain subsided RIGHT UP UNTIL THE TROPHY GIVING. Then a mad dash to the car while it pelted down and home for a quick shower & change to go and help celebrate and take photos for a relative’s Hifz ceremony. (For those non-Muslims, he had successfully learnt the whole Qur’an by heart, which I mean, blows me away – have you seen the size of it???) The turban tying was just awesome to watch. Four or five men gathering around him with a white cloth and a twist here, a twist there and ta da!! Turban was done. Who says men know nothing of fashion.

Home and quick tidy up and a light supper before entertaining guests and by the end of it, I was exhausted. Kids went to bed much later than their usual which usually signifies crappy morning the next day.
