It looks as though this is also going to be a quick update type of entry. I am losing my visitors since I’ve taken my blog break so will try to update more often inshaAllah.
1. For all those who have sent me emails (thanks, guys..I really appreciate it) wondering what has happened to me..I’m ok – just really busy. I promise I will try to reply to everyone in the next couple of days.
2. I am not sure whether I will be homeschooling next year and that’s really been depressing me. It’s kind of complicated and I don’t really want to go into specifics or bore with you with the saga (although it isn’t so much a saga – I just like to sound melodramatic). We all know what happens to kids when they go to school
3. Boys are well alhamdulillah. My 2 year old has just done his first poo in the toilet so if you heard a lot of crazy whooping and cheering, fireworks and screaming for joy type of noises..that was me. My eldest took a long time to be fully toilet trained so I’m hoping I’m not being a little too premature – in any case it’s the first step towards being nappiless and that’s something to get excited about.
4. ** ALIAS SPOILER ALERT** for those of you who have yet to see the new season (which means most of you Australians out there)I’m off the Alias lovetrain for good. I think I’ll be catching the bus from now on.
Thank goodness that awful Nadia is off the screen but it just hasn’t been the same since Vaughn died.

welcomec back. How did u manage to get him poo in the toilet…that’s classic
my darling is 18 months and I wanna train her to do it too.
Salaam;
How long did it take with your eldest? A1 point-blank refused until about a week before his fourth birthday. Embarrassing, yes, but what can you do? Seems cruel, somehow, to tie them to the potty…and thanks-but-no-thanks to the unhelpful “helpful” advice of the in-laws.
I’m really hoping A2 will want to emulate big bro and will be an early potty trainee.
Amazing that the smaller they are, the more work they are…and just when you get into a groove, they become mobile and once more (your) time becomes nonexistant. Very happy to see you post again, yippee!
Ahh… the new season here in the states is a little better. I actually had to stop watching last season because the inbred spy circle love just got too much for me.
BUT ****SPOILER ALERT**** *DONT READ IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW*
Vaughn is alive and we will see him on Wednesday night. Also, back from obscurity is Sark!!! Woohoo!!! My lovey love Sark!!!
BTW– Hamza is 2 1/3 years old and right now we are nada on the potty training… he’s dug in his heels… Wants nothing to do with the big ppl potty. BUT – he wants to help take his own diaper off and put it on. *sigh* Not sure if that’s a good thing or not. Hahaha. ha.
Vaughn, Sark … you seem to have forgotten one more VERY VERY important character who was in that episode!
Toilet training was very difficult for us. I had a stubborn little boy plus the poor thing got constipated once and it made for a painful BM which set us back quite a bit. I think it toook about 6 months for him to be fully trained.
And I really shouldn’t have got my hopes us with my second – Like your little one, UmmHamza, he is now refusing to use the toilet but still insists on taking off his nappy. Fun times. NOT
