New Native baby sling

This worked out to be quite expensive – I ordered it not on-line but from a store here in Australia (no stores in Brisbane stocked it so had to phone Sydney). $90 approx but definitely money well spent.

Advantages-

    - Baby loves it
    - I can get my housework done
    - Sounds cliche and all but is excellent for bonding
    - Shopping is never a drama – he’s safe and snug in the sling and I get to walk around hands-free
    - Much more comfortable than the conventional baby carriers -for mum and for baby. My back used to get very sore with the front facing ones. I worried about baby and his reflux but while it looks like his stomach is squashed he never cries when he’s in the sling. He hates the car capsule though
    - No straps to adjust/click etc – just wear the sling & put baby in
    - You can breastfeed with discretion
    - Can be used until he’s a toddler
    - Easy care – machine wash and dry on the line. Can be tumble dried
    - Many different positions (check the website out for pics)

Disadvantages-

    - The sling is sized to the wearer not baby so if your build is quite different to your partner, you may need to buy 2 or settle with just one parent using it to carry baby
    - Expensive
    - Putting baby into the sling isn’t as easy as the website makes out. There’s quite a lot of hit and miss in the beginning
    - Getting stopped everywhere so people can have a peak at baby. Ok..not such a bad thing but it gets a little annoying especially when I’m in a rush!
