I’ve checked my stats and I’ve lost a HUGE number of readers recently. I’d like to think it’s because they’re all clued up with RSS feeds and all that but I guess it could be that I’m just not hip and cool anymore.

*cries*

In other news, I would like to share with you those really annoying things my boys keep asking to see on the computer (we don’t watch much TV so google video is our form of mindless entertainment) . Ok so the videos themselves aren’t annoying – my boys have excellent taste – it’s just when I’m busy doing my internets surfing (you know – life and death, very important boys, I will be with you in a minute!), it gets annoying that they keep asking me:

Parkour : these boys are amazing. I am recruiting them for my next jewellery heist.I’m not getting into a debate whether this is true parkour or if it’s just plain old free running. You can use google and make up your own minds. But just so you know, it’s parkour :P . I will say that this is by far the BEST video we’ve come across of the sport -5 year old can attest to this – and believe me we have searched for ANOTHER ONE, PLEASE MUM? on countless occasion. Only the best for you readers!

The lion sleeps tonight – Too cute

We all know that a child’s job is to play and make a huge mess for mum to clean up…or not clean up, in my case. One of the main goals of play is to teach children about the environment, about how things work and it’s a great way to express pent up emotions in a safe environment without threat of blame or punishment. Play can help a child deal with an unfamiliar and scary real-life situation in a way that allows him to be completely in control of events:
