Polygamy makes families unhappy
I am not going to debate on the advantages/disadvantages/permissibility etc of polygamy so keep those comments to yourselves, thanks. In many polygynous situations, the children suffer the most. I imagine it might be easier for the kids if everyone lived under the same roof but it would take a special kind of woman/women who would agree to those living conditions.
