I will be facilitating (sorry hubsand, I know you don’t like that word) a telephone support group for parents very soon.

Parents from anywhere in the world can join (though with the time difference, you may have to wake up at 1am to join us in which case it may not be ideal for you.) Australian parents (especially those in MELBOURNE yes I am looking at you, crooked woman and in CARINDALE yes, mother of the earth that means you! are encouraged to join me.)

Those interested (it sounds wierd but I promise it will be tons of fun and you get to be supported in the mysterious, challenging unchartered territory of parenting) I make it sound like it’s the Amazon, please contact me at:

Dawdling

It’s quite ok to dawdle if you have all the time in the world – if your mother is not at you every minute telling you what to do, if your school starts whenever you pitch up, if there were no cars on the road, if the creche at mum’s gym didn’t really care that you booked your child in at a certain time, if you woke up early enough, if you packed your bag and lunch the night before.

The creche asks mum to set a time for booking the children in so that they have adequate staff to take care of the the children. You always wake up late no matter what time mum tries to wake you up or what time you go to bed. You used to be such an early bird when you were younger. Your lunch is done, it’s just in the fridge and your books are strewn all over your desk and the teacher expects you to bring them to school everyday.

This is why I am always yelling at you to

HURRY UP!
