Salaams and hello.
Malaysia is awesome!
A few things and since I like points, here they are in point form:
- I’m just one of the crowd here. Now we can all stare at the white people who stick out like sore thumbs!
- Children are loved and valued and welcomed wherever we go. Restaurants cater for little kids and make allowances for rice strewn all over the place and banging of cutlery on plates (they supply plastic cups and plates.)
- Everything is cheap here.
- Everything is HALAL. (Well almost everything)
- We are getting so fat here. The food needs a whole blog entry in itself.
- I will never complain about the heat. Ever again. I promise.
- The masjids are beautiful mashaAllah.
That’s it for now. The holiday is nearly over so I will see you soon inshaAllah.
Sister-in-law – thinking of you and missing you. Tell your hubby we have nearly eaten everything on his list. We will be having some laksa tonight inshaAllah. Kiss the kiddos and pinch their cheeks.
« OH MY GOD! Malaysia »

oooh. malaysia – truly asia! glad you’re having a brilliant time! enjoy the remainder of your stay!
Assalamualaikum..
Hi, I stumbled upon ur blog!
btw, I’m from Malaysia and currently in Melbourne..
oh.. you made me miss malaysia even more…
yup2.. everything’s cheap there.. I miss shopping in my hometown..
I’m looking forward to the food blog entry.
As salaam alaikum.
Come around my blog today inshallah. I have some new fiction, a new poem and a ‘nuh news commentary’.
Wa salaama,
nuh ibn
Oh boy, what a great trip
The food sounds fabulous. Make sure to eat at least one of every dish. And any country that is good to its children sounds like paradise, even though the heat may make it feel like… the other place. hehe
Ya Haqq!
Hmmm I wished I could visit Malaysia again soon, Masha’Allah a very nice place.
Great blog you have here.
Please take a look at this site and link it up here if you think it of benefit.

Mmm, hearing about the food sounds fabulous. Yes, I bet it’s very humid over there!
Mona : We did enjoy the stay. We were all very upset to be home
Mai: Hello and welcome! So sorry to have made you homesick. I hope you get back home very soon
Taiba: The food was marvellous. We had fast food more often than we probably should have but it was so convenient and we don’t get that “luxury” here in Australia.
Nuh ibn: Wasalaam. InshaAllah will visit.
Irving: The loving kids thing was wonderful. Here in Australia, while they don’t hate children, it’s more of a “seen and not heard” thing when it comes to kids.
Aly: Hey! How have you been. I haven’t visited your blog in a while. I’m off to check it now
