I am blogging on a Saturday because my life is so boring
Did you read that properly, people?
Saturday.
I am blogging.
Which means I am at home.
Which means I am not at work! I hope they are managing well without me. HAHAHAHAH! I am not at work!!! THE ASIAN/SCARF/MUSLIM/DARK vet is not working!
Ahhh life is good.
My cousin has given birth to a baby girl mashaAllah. Huge baby. No name as yet (what is with that – you had NINE months of planning! Study harder next time instead of pulling a one-nighter and hoping for the best! Just kidding – my sister went for about a month without a name)
We are off to buy my 4 year old a new bike, with training wheels although he is keen on learning to ride the proper way. 2 year old is nearly as tall as 4 year old and I think he will need the same size bike. I’ve lost count the number of times I’ve been asked if the younger two are twins. One is just petite, like his mum and the other is a huge lump of lard like his dad.
So off we go. To the toy store. Wish us luck.

Cool…bikes! It took our boys a while to figure out the whole peddling thing. V3 is now proficient, and v2 has picked up pretty quickly this year.
Be careful with the training wheels…the bikes we have…a sharp turn means u’re gonna tip and fall.
To the toy store! With three boys!
A1 learned to ride the proper way around four/five after a few scraped knees and several PLEASE PUT THE TRAINING WHEELS BACK ON MY BIKE, waaaaaaaaahs.
Welcome to HellHave fun! Masha’Allah, so big!Oooh fun! I like riding bikes, I still remember my first bike…in fact the bike I “have” now is my second bike. Yeah I need a new bike
Family bike riding is so fun, we used to do it all the time when I was younger.
Brain – OH. MY. GOSH. My 7 year old can ride the bike no worries but he still needs practice on turning corners (he turns too sharply and ends up on the ground). 4 year old managed splendidly with the training wheels and 2 year old has no idea about pedalling. We lasted about half and hour – the youngest and eldest full of pent up frustrations with 4 year old quite happy. I am determined to try again next weekend. They are going to be bmx’ers whether they like it or NOT!
b – they were actually mashaAllah pretty well behaved! I made lots of dua before entering the store.
Amir – I am not a big fan of bike riding. I learnt when i was about 8 or 9 and once I knew, I didn’t really care to do it again. I can see the joys of family bike riding, though. inshaAllah when the boys have mastered the art of cycling, we can make it a family affair.
