A news article on an incident of neglect at a childcare centre has been making the rounds in the news lately:

I cannot understand those who continue to blame the mother – blaming her for putting her child in daycare in the first place, blaming her for not applying sunscreen before she dropped him off, for not putting on a long sleeved shirt. The child care centre by its very name is supposed to CARE for your child. They stuffed up. Scary also to think that new studies have shown that it only takes one case of being badly sunburned as a child to increase the risk of skin cancer exponentially.
