Sometimes

Sometimes:

  • I wish that my children were easy
  • I wish that Islam had no history of  violence or of killing so that it would just be easier to demonstrate and explain we are peace-loving people. No really, we are!  Sometimes I wish wish wish that the Prophet (pbuh) had won against his enemies by nonviolence.
  • days never go according to plan
  • nothing I ever do is ever right
  • I am consumed by sadness
  • I am enveloped by happiness
  • my cats sleep on my bed and I love it, despite my sore neck and sore back and interrupted sleep
  • I have long showers even when I’m not supposed to
  • I don’t cook
  • I love my boys so much I want to squeeze them
  • I’m not in a good mood

What do you do sometimes?

    I wish I hadn’t eaten a slice of the cake :P

sometimes, i let the babies cry and give myself five minutes so i dont go in there and smack them.
most times, i wish for more patience.

Thanks for the comments, ladies. Achelois – it would just make my life so much easier, wouldn’t it.
Aneesa – so what’s stoppng you from coming? :)
Mona- you are a great mum with a HUGE amount of patience. Separating yourself from what’s frustrating you is a great way to stop yourself from doing something you will regret later. Good thinking. Lots of hugs xxx

Tassles, what a great, honest post. I hear you on dot 2. There’s a bit in our history I struggle with (women your right hand possesses, anyone? Death for gays, anyone else?)

I sometimes wish it all away. I sometimes want it to last forever.
